On Tuesday, the Bulldogs of that future were welcomed into the fold during the annual Eighth Grade Information Night.

The Class of 2028 and their family members were greeted by current Principal Dave Craddock, who in retirement will be replaced by Alex Trujillo, currently Assistant Principal at Central.

After an introduction of staff by Principal Craddock, attendees were encouraged to tour the new building and learn about the school’s curriculum and extra-curricular offerings which continue to define Centennial.

Home to the Health Academy, which prepares scholars for medical careers and/or higher study, Centennial also boasts a successful and award-winning cybersecurity team, state-qualifying FBLA, JROTC, Bulldog TV video broadcasting program, foreign languages, performing arts and music, and an array of boys and girls sports, and clubs.

Representatives from each group were on hand Tuesday to visit with eighth graders and answer questions regarding participation, with the Centennial spirit teams, JROTC color guard, and vocal and instrumental performers showcasing their skills before the gallery.
