Counseling

  • At the elementary school level, school counselors provide students with education and support for academics, social/emotional learning, and awareness of post-graduate goals.

    Counselors work with classroom teachers to deliver age-appropriate lessons about topics such as friendship, perseverance, and career awareness. Additionally, counselors help provide students with solution-focused individual and small-group counseling. As part of this, counselors can connect students and families with resources for bully prevention and intervention, as well as help conduct threat assessments during situations of immediate concern.
