Onboarding and Next Steps for ALL Employees

Step 1: Come to the Human Resources office (315 W. 11th Street, Pueblo CO 81003), complete a background check (fingerprinting), and take your employee ID badge photo. Please make an appointment for fingerprints by calling 719-549-7209. Once your background is completed and received, you will move to step 2.

Step 2: Complete your new hire forms. A packet of required forms will be sent to the email address you provided in your Frontline application. All forms must be completed to move to step 3.

Step 3: Complete your Onboarding Appointment at the Human Resources office. Your Staffing Coordinator will set up an appointment for you to attend. This appointment includes submitting the I-9 form and accompanying documentation and receiving your employee ID badge.

All ESP employees are required to submit paperwork within 30 days of hire showing job requirements have been (if required)

An official transcript with either 48 semester credit hours, an Associate of Arts degree, or the equivalent OR

Evidence of passing scores on the required WorkKeys exams

Verification of Employment (Certificate of Service)

Certificate of Service Form (verification of experience credit) must be completed and received by HR within 60 days of your date of hire

When will I receive my contract?
Typically, new teachers are given their contracts for the new school year at your Onboarding Appointment.

I am a teacher or Special Service Provider. What items does HR need from me?
Within 30 days of hire, you should submit the following items to HR (unless you already included them in your application paperwork):
- Official Transcript - showing the date your degree(s) was conferred
- Certificate of Service - verifying employment (experience credit) with previous employer(s) (60 days)
- Teaching License - proving you are qualified to teach in your assigned position

When will my benefits begin?
If you qualify for benefits, they will begin the first day following the month you begin work. For example, if your first day of work is August 11, your benefits will begin September 1. Information on how to enroll in benefits will be in the new hire forms sent to the email address in your application.

When will I receive email access?
You will receive email access when you complete all onboarding and you are entered into our computer system.

How do I know the days I work?
You will receive a calendar at your Onboarding Appointment. You can also find your work calendar here.

What if I want to petition for more than 5 years of experience?
Write a petition letter to the Superintendent of Schools requesting experience credit. Turn the letter in to your Staffing Coordinator. HR will work with the Superintendent for a decision.

Who do I need to contact if I need to change my contact information?
- You can change your address and phone numbers yourself through our employee portal or you can contact the payroll department for assistance.
- If you need to change your name, you will need to provide an updated social security card to the payroll department.

I am an Alternative Teaching Candidate. What do I need to do to be prepared for my Onboarding Appointment?
Please begin to work on and send the following information to your Staffing Coordinator:
- Official copies of your transcripts (electronic or paper)
- A copy of your PRAXIS test scores for your endorsed area
- Complete your Statement of Assurance Form for CDE and send for signatures. You'll need two signatures on the form:
- University you will be attending, and;
- Pueblo D60
- A receipt from your application to CDE for your teaching license
- Complete all forms in Fronline Central (this must be done prior to processing)

- To complete the application for our teaching license, visit the CDE COOL website. You will need the following for your application (please note this is not an all-inclusive list):
- Completed Fingerprints through an approved vendor (these fingerprints are different from our fingerprinting process)
- A photo ID
- Official transcripts
- Signed Statement of Assurance Form
- PRAXIS test score (if required)

I am a Temporary Educator Eligibility (TEE) Candidate. What do I need to do to be prepared for my Onboarding Appointment?
Please begin to work on and send the following information to your Staffing Coordinator:

- A copy of your PRAXIS test scores for your endorsed area
- Complete your Temporary Educator Eligibility Form for CDE and send for signatures. You'll need two signatures on the form:
- University you will be attending, and;
