FBLA and DECA
Central High school students explore college and career opportunities through a number of co-curricular educational programs. Members take part in academic competitions, networking events with accomplished business professionals at conferences, and community service projects. Plus, members have exclusive access to scholarships from a select group of academic institutions. Central students will be prepared for college and careers through a variety of leadership, community service, and academic activities.

Girls' Cabinet
Girls' Cabinet is a community service-based organization that completes several community service events; The Walk to End Alzheimer's, Operation Christmas Child, Vitaliant blood drives, Toiletry Drives for the YWCA, teacher appreciation lunches, hosting an open house, and other Central High school/community events, and hosting receptions for all assemblies. We are also responsible for organizing and presenting the Winter Sports Assembly and dance every year.

HOSA - Health Occupation Students of America
HOSA is a group of students who strive to be health care professionals. They complete community service, competitions, and student leadership activities related to health care.

Key Club is the student branch of Kiwanis and focuses on community service.

Knowledge Bowl
Knowledge Bowl is an academic competition recognized by the State and viewed extremely positively by colleges, universities, and scholarship committees regarding acceptance or awards. Central High School KB teams compete in and host the Arkansas Valley League and the Region 3 tournament. Placing in the top three can earn a berth to the State competition. We have both Varsity and JV teams, practice once or twice a week, and compete once a month locally. Join Knowledge Bowl and continue the tradition of academic excellence!

NHS-National Honor Society (NHS)
NHS is an academic service club that elevates the school's commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Students who are inducted into NHS are recognized for their academic accomplishments and are challenged to develop their character further through active involvement in school activities and community service.

Pro Start is where the Pros start, earn Serve Safe cert, Cert of Achievement from The National Restaurant Education Foundation. Join and compete in FCCLA Pro start and Escoffier events.

STEM/TSA enhances personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), whereby members apply and integrate these concepts through intracurricular activities, competitions, and related programs.

Student Council
Student Council is an opportunity for our students to become student leaders in our building. Student Council is responsible for many events in a school year including Dances, assemblies, parades, and more. Student Council is also proud to help around the community with many community service projects.

Color Guard
Our Color Guard is an opportunity to be with the Marching Band and display a high level of artistic performance. Our Color Guard is in its fourth year at Central, and we’re always looking for new members!

Drama
In the Wildcat Theatre Company, students have the opportunity to explore all aspects of theatre, from acting and directing to set construction and costume design. Working together, our students present magnificent plays and musicals to delight and entertain our audiences.

Drumline
There are opportunities for learning drumming both during and after school. We have both a competitive and a non-competitive Drumline at Central. We have competed in competitions in Denver the past few years, but we also stay closer to home and have fun at Athletic events such as Football Tailgating and Basketball Games.

FCA
FCA is Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Our purpose is to equip and support students and athletes to make an impact. An impact on sports, life, and our community. We meet Every other Friday at 9 a.m. Sponsors: Mrs. Ackerman, Josh Sisneros, Carol Dalby.

French Club
French Club is a world language club learning about the study of the French language and culture. This club also travels every other year to France during the summer. So, join if you enjoy traveling!

Italian Club
Italian Club is a world language club encouraging the study of the Italian language and culture. This club involves students in fundraising for cultural enrichment events like attending Opera Colorado, as well as being involved in community service projects that benefit our school and community. Students have the opportunity to also join the Italian National Honor Society, La Società Onoraria Italica.

JROTC Teams
Rifle Team is a precision marksmanship team that uses Olympic level air rifles to compete. Team members compete in 8 head to head competitions annually as well as the potential to compete at the state and national level.
Drill Team is a competitive team that uses marching and precision maneuvers known as drill with rifles and without rifles. The drill team competes in 11 competitions annually against other JROTC units in southern Colorado.
Raider Team is a competitive team that is focused on physical conditioning and military skills. A typical Raider meet consists of an Army Physical Fitness test, 10 km run, one rope bridge, land navigation, and Raider challenge course.
JROTC Leadership and Academic Bowl (JLAB) is sponsored by US Army Cadet Command and is an online competition with a focus on general leadership knowledge and core academic topics. Cadets on this team compete virtually against all other JROTC programs in the United States.

Tri-M- Modern Music Masters
Tri-M is a Music Honor Society that brings together community service and Music. In order to qualify, you have to have a 3.0 GPA and become involved in our community service efforts, you need to be enrolled in a music class to be eligible for the Tri-M Honors Society.

Yearbook/Advanced Journalism Club
This club is an extension of our class. Students are involved in all aspects of the production of our school yearbook. This class and club give students experience in print media publishing as well as sales and advertising. This group works toward the completion of the Central High School Yearbook. From photography, layout design, feature story, and profile writing, students creatively combine all these skills to create a yearbook that captures the memories of our school year.
