Principal's Message

    Welcome back Wolf PACK!!

I am so grateful to continue to serve as the school principal at Roncalli STEM Academy. Our theme this year is “Year of the Impossible” and is based on the quote, “Things are only impossible until they’re not,” from Star Trek. I believe that in this ‘cause COVID’ time, great teaching and learning can still occur whether you have opted to join us for an entirely virtual learning experience or in our hybrid of in-person and virtual learning. In each scenario, the safety of our students and staff is the number one priority. But safety and learning are not exclusive of each other. It is time to achieve the impossible.

Roncalli STEM Academy welcomes a fresh staff for the 2020-2021 school year and a change in administration. Ms. Krystal Reed has moved from her role in Response to Intervention to Assistant Principal and Athletic Director joining Ms. Kristie Lopez (Assistant Principal) and myself. Our counseling center is set to hum with a focus on proactive and collaborative solutions and every member of our teaching staff is enrolled in the Fast Track for Blended Learning through iLearn Collaborative to ensure that we embody best practices for this new educational experience. With a fresh staff comes the need for a renewed vision. I was honored to work with my entire staff to identify our core values and then translate those into a vision with my building leadership team that is student-centered and focused on making an impact:

The RSA Wolf PACK empowers lifelong STEAM learners to excel academically, embrace their authentic selves, and become innovative community leaders.

Empowerment is collaborative and I implore each family and each student to help us move daily towards this vision. The work students do in middle school mirrors the future of the communities it serves. Do the right work with us and we can achieve the impossible.

Thank you for trusting your kids with us. Thank you for your patience, collaboration, and compassion,

    Michael Cservenak
