    CYBERSECURITY AWARENESS MONTH CONTEST

    As October is designated as Cybersecurity Awareness Month, the District hosted its first Cybersecurity Awareness Month Poster and Video Contest. Open to scholars at all grade levels, the competition was designed to promote the safe and secure use of the internet while encouraging students to make better decisions when posting pictures, videos, and personal information online.

    THE FACE OF THE ‘HOME OF HEROES’ INSPIRES AT PRIDE AND PATRIOTISM

    In its seventh incarnation, Pride and Patriotism once again saw District scholars, from elementary through high school, express their gratitude to those who served – and in many instances continue to serve – in the written word, artistic expression and song.

    PRIDE AND PATRIOTISM TO FEATURE MEDAL OF HONOR RECIPIENT DREW DIX

    Pueblo’s last living Medal of Honor recipient, and the face of Pueblo as the “Home of Heroes,” Mr. Dix will be the guest speaker at the District’s Pride and Patriotism tribute to veterans, which begins at 6 p.m. November 10 at Memorial Hall.

    COMMUNITY COMES TOGETHER

    The aptly titled Community Peace Summit drew a diverse and colorful procession of children, scholars and adults to the Pueblo Convention Center for a day of celebration of the District’s efforts in promoting inclusion, compassion and a no-tolerance stance on bullying.
