IT IS NOT TOO LATE!! Cross country is still accepting athletes! Did you miss tryouts for other sports or did you get cut? Do you still want to get involved at South High? It is not too late to join Cross Country! We are still accepting athletes! All ability levels are welcome and we do not have cuts. Take a risk and try something new! Introducing the Colts' Closet
Attention Parents and Guardians: The Colts Closet is now open. Please open the full announcement to access the Colts Closet Request Form. This form is also located in all grade level Google Classrooms as well as many other individual classrooms that your student has access to. Students can click on the link and request needed school supplies, food items, and hygiene products. The request will go directly to the community advocate who will fill the order and then students can pick up the items in the main office. Please call 719.549.7255 for more information.

The South High School Library Needs Your Help
There is now officially a link for monetary donations for the library here at South HS. We are working to build the library collection back up to a state where it can be utilized by the students to not only have resources for their classes, but to also be able to just take a moment to breathe and sit down with a good book. Clean Water in Schools
In June, Governor Jared Polis signed the Clean Water in Schools and Child Care Centers law, which requires all public schools to sample their drinking water for lead and take mitigative action when results show levels of lead at or above 4.5 parts per billion.

South Choir and Jazz Band Winter Concert
The South High School Winter Choir and Jazz Band Concert brought the spirit of the season to a gallery of patrons. Under the direction of Maxine DiMarco, the various South choirs performed a host of season-appropriate numbers.

South's Concert Band Winter Performance
The South Concert Band offered a winter-themed set Wednesday, including “Snowscape,” “God Bless the USA,” “The Polar Express,” and “’Twas the Night before Christmas.”

South Orchestra's Holiday Concert
The South Orchestra, under the direction of Rob Smith, performed a series of holiday-themed songs as part of its winter concert Wednesday. The Colts opened with “Afterburn,” followed by “Winter Gallop,” “A Silent Night in Scarborough,” “Carols of the Kings” and “Voyager.”

Led by South High graduate and current Google Fellow Christian Michael, Team Google led an "Experience Computer Science 2024” event in the Occhiato Student Center Ballroom on the CSU-Pueblo campus.
